From what I hear, people are still waiting for winter in Tuscany. There has been lots of rain but no real cold. Reports of 18 degrees C today makes one wonder if spring has come to stay.

There is rarely snow in Livorno, but from Terrazza Mascagni you can see some snow clad mountain tops in the distance. And no, they are not just behind the harbour as they seem to be! The zoom lens fools the eye.

Or – is it just the white of the marble in the Carrara quarries? 😉

    Yes, it’s spring here today, and the snow is a good two hours’ drive away. You should have seen the queues at the ice-cream shops this afternoon!
